Rihanna is not dating Matt Kemp, 25, and the couple are just friends, said representatives.
The singer was reported last week stealing sizzling moments in Mexico's Cabo San Lucas with Kemp, an LA Dodgers star.
"I think dating may be a stretch at this point," the New York Daily News quoted agent Dave Stewart as saying.
"They are in Cabo, but past that they are just good friends," he added.
Meanwhile, the 'Umbrella' hitmaker has admitted that even though the physical bruises she suffered from ex-boyfriend Chris Brown's assault have disappeared, the emotional scars still pain her.
The incident took place the night before the Grammys in February last year.
"The physical pain comes and it goes. The bruises fade away. But the emotional scars stay with you," she told February issue of American GQ.
